100% worth while, enjoyable, very good group dynamic. I’d recommend the clinic to others.Very pleasing that Deni was a pleasant place to be, the caravan park is great, and the morning breakfast location very suitable I don’t know how it could have been done any better.Alway’s a pleasure learning from someone with years experience and great knowledge
Really enjoy the course. Brian and Bard are great. As a novice that just finished my course few months ago, this clinic helps me to be kore confident in thermalling and preparing myself for my first XC. Thank you Brian and Barb.

Well organised documentation sent in advance. Brian remained consistent when sending updates out regarding the scheduling of the course
It was excellent to bounce ideas off Brian and Andrew to obtain the same consistent messages from difference perspectives.
It was a great course and am looking forward to scheduling another one
Brian is not just an excellent pilot, but is also a master at organising all the knowledge and experience in his head and then communicating it logically in an ‘easy to understand’ sort of way – a rare combination.
I think we ran out of time but would have been interested in going over analysing Rasp and Xc skies, Would definitely do another one of your clinics
Hi everyone my name is Toni Skerrett.
I flew on Brians tour in 2009, and it was definitely an eye opener and a must for any intermediate and experienced pilots who wants to take their paragliding not only to a new country but to a whole new level of experience.
The USA is an awesome place to fly and I want to fly there again, especially Chelan.
Brian provides a large van and driver for the retrieves and transport to other flying sites that become available if the weather should change. Brian also provides over 20 years of paragliding experience and any assistance that you may require to help you with any technical difficulties that you may experience along the way.
The best part of the tour for me was knowing that when I headed off on a cross country flight, a retrieve wasn’t too far away.
The very good rating scale doesn’t adequately describe how I felt about the course. I thought it really was excellent and such a good learning experience. Brian has so much experience and he imparts that experience in such a positive way. I learnt so much and had such a good learning experience.
I’m looking forward to getting more air time and more XC flights and possibly doing the XC and competition course with Brian once I’m more experienced. It was very hard going back to work today (especially since I’m still sick!) after such a good weekend.
The course was catered to different levels of flying experience which was great (ie me with 12 hours vs those with lots of coastal hours, in land hours etc).
Many thanks – I had a blast!
Regards
Chaye Gough
Good course I enjoyed and got a lot from it. As a small suggestion I would have liked a little more direction in air – appreciate this is difficult but might have been good. Have recommended you to several people since!
“Loved it! Think everyone at camp crusty asked me about it at least once and I told them it was really good. Lots of information to keep me going for months. Would love to do this again!”
A great clinic. I was rather apprehensive when applying, as I felt that it would be way above my capabilities – but with Brian’s assurances, and in flight coaching, I never felt out of my depth.
I ended the clinic with far more confidence – and although I have a looong way to go, I now have the ammunition to get me there.
Thanks Brian and Barb
“I’d done a paragliding tour to the Himalayas in 2008, and although that was awesome, Brian’s tour was better……..Everything about this trip was great: the organisation, the itinerary, the diversity of the fantastic sites, the coaching and the cost – Phil Lyng”
Very good value. I felt well supported and catered for as a novice; also good clinic for the more experienced.
Excellent vehicle! I love the swivel chairs
Well organised and very efficient. I can’t thank Barb enough for her wonderful way of returning us from remote locations.
The track logs at the end of the day were good and showed me that lines taken are important.
This course should be compulsory for all pilots thinking of flying XC and comps. There is just so much to do and so much information.
Amazing, can’t believe the level of detail we went into talking about skills and what we wanted to achieve. Was very impressive working with Brian to talk through the developmental stages. Personally extremely valuable..!
I felt that you guys did everything possible to maximise our flying time and couldn’t have wished for more. Though I did feel guilty with poor Conrad driving 14 hours to get us to a site..! Thanks again 🙂
I’m torn between rating between very good and good. In terms of paragliding and learning VERY GOOD..! ++ But based on some of the question above I feel probably fairer to rate as good. Thanks again Brian, Barb, Conrad and Joy. What an amazing experience..!
Great service from Brian, great understanding of the area and conditions and a very good risk assessment conducted each day. I learned lots with the few days spend in his company. Will be back again for sure. Thanks Brian

Probably the most difficult step for low-airtime pilots is to get beyond the sleddie and ridge soaring stage. Brian’s clinic is perfect for that. He nudges you along and modifies your practices without putting you under pressure. The organisation is superb, with lots of flying time, good coverage of theory, well organised retrieves and very helpful debriefs.
Bright has superb flying sites and the Outdoor Inn (aka Camp Krusty), which is right below Mystic launch, is the perfect base for your stay in Bright. The pilots doing the clinic all had different levels of experience, but each of us had our best flight to date on the first day of the clinic and then exceeded it on the following day.
Brian’s clinic will reignite your interest in flying – Barry
Brian, Barb, Phil and Chris,
I would strongly recommend to anyone to undertake the XC Clinic before contemplating XC flying. This course gave me the knowledge and confidence to fly away from an inland launch pad.
Brian and Barb, thanks so much for a great course.
I feel much more confident and comfortable in improving as a XC pilot as a result! I do hope to see you both again in Bright or elsewhere down the track.
